Hillsborough County Property Appraiser
Bob Henriquez is a fifth-generation Tampa resident and the current Hillsborough County Property Appraiser. Born into a community-oriented family, Bob’s great-grandfather, Enrique Henriquez, was the last mayor of West Tampa before its annexation in 1925. Bob’s passion for service grew from his upbringing, education at Tampa Catholic High and Princeton University, and his early career in local government, including roles with the Streets & Addresses department and the county’s Planning Commission.
Bob served four terms in the Florida Legislature before heading the Department of Children and Families in Pinellas and Pasco counties. He has also been active with several organizations, including the Florida Association of Constitutional Officers and the Family Healthcare Foundation. Known for his leadership, Bob coached football at Tampa Catholic, where he led the team to multiple district championships and a state title appearance. Since becoming Property Appraiser in 2012, Bob has focused on serving the community with fairness and professionalism, while enjoying time with his wife, Carrie, and their three children.
