
Honorable David Johnson, CFA
Seminole County Property Appraiser
David Johnson is a lifelong resident of Seminole County with a degree in Business Administration from Stetson University and certification as a Florida appraiser. He began his career with the Property Appraiser’s office in 1986 and was elected Property Appraiser in 2004, where he is currently serving his 6th term. David has held leadership positions in the Florida Property Appraisers Association, including president and legislative chair. He is also a Paul Harris Fellow with the Rotary Foundation and serves on various civic and community organization boards, including as Chair of Habitat for Humanity Seminole Apopka.
Throughout his career, David has utilized technology to enhance customer service and streamline operations within the office. Under his leadership, Seminole County became the second jurisdiction worldwide to receive the prestigious Certificate of Excellence in Assessment Administration from the International Association of Assessing Officers. Recently, David was honored with the Tony Jennings Award by The Orlando Realtors Association, recognizing his commitment and integrity in public service.
