
Honorable Gary "Bubba" Peters, CFA, MBA
Escambia County Property Appraiser
Gary “Bubba” Peters is a lifelong resident of Escambia County and has been a dedicated public servant at the Escambia County Property Appraiser’s Office for 22 years. Bubba was hired as a student in 2003 and quickly rose through the ranks, where he became the Chief Deputy Appraiser in 2017. As the Chief Deputy Appraiser, Bubba was responsible for all of the office’s day-to-day operations, and the supervision of a team of 70 employees.
Additionally, Bubba attended Tate High School, Pensacola State College and the University of West Florida where he obtained a degree in Business Management and Finance, along with a Master in Business Administration (M.B.A.). Bubba also holds a Florida Real Estate License and Appraisal License with over 800 hours of formal real estate education.
Furthermore, Bubba has served in numerous organizations including, the Northwest Florida Chapter of National Association for Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP-President), the Santa Rosa Island Authority (Chairman) and the Enterprise Risk Management Committee (Gulf Winds Credit Union). He was a 2018 graduate of Leadership Pensacola (LeaP) and was recognized as a Rising Star in the inweekly Magazine.
Last, but certainly not least, Bubba is a devoted husband to his wife, Jessica, and a devoted father to his children Tripp, Caroline and Charlotte. He finds his greatest pleasure when coaching his children in their various sports and traveling with his wife, and he also enjoys hunting, fishing and being outdoors.
